Abbie Wagaman (they/them/theirs) is an awardee of the UW System Women’s and Gender Studies Consortium, for their project, “LGBTQ+ Oral History of Northeastern Wisconsin”

Congratulations, Abbie!

Abbigail “Abbie” Wagaman (they/them) is a senior student at the University of Wisconsin – Green Bay graduating in May 2020. They are studying Democracy Justice Studies with an emphasis in Women & Gender Studies, a double minor in History and Sociology, and an LGBTQ+ Studies Certificate. They served as the UWGB Student Government President for 2 years, and dedicated their time to advocating on behalf of the LGBTQ+ community in their work. Research interests of theirs include institutional inequality, sociology of gender and gender performance, the influences of historical inequality on current public policy. Abbie will be attending the University of Wisconsin – Madison in Fall of 2020 to study Educational Leadership and Policy Analysis in hopes of working in Student Affairs to continue their passion for student advocacy and equal opportunity in higher education.
