Project Title: Transformative Justice Advocacy Training for LGBTQ Student Leaders
Why statement: Justice begins with us.
Short-term How:
- Redesign the LGBTQ student employee training to center decolonial and abolitionist advocacy practices, challenge mainstream definitions of professionalism, and model the mutually supportive community we hope to build.
Long-term How:
- Scale up the student advocacy training by designing an advocacy institute that can serve as a hub to connect student activists in Women’s & Gender Studies, Race and Ethnic Studies, the Diversity Leadership Certificate, LGBTQ Studies Certificate, and Pride Center student employees.
