Artist Exhibition 2023

2022, She is Your Equal, Not Your Temptress Relief Wood Cut with Monoprint Paper Collage 2 feet x 4 feet At the top of the canvas is a looming visual representation of the top of the supreme court frieze, columns, and words, Equal Justice Under the Law, etched across the face of the building. Under the building is an equally sized purple woman lying naked with a morose or pensive facial expression. Jagged eaten apple cores lay haphazardly across the base where the woman rests. The woman has the scales of justice strategically placed over her uterus and vagina. The wood texture shows through the ink across the image as the wood-carved lines are printed on the paper. Blue, dark blue, and black color paper strips are ripped and collaged on the canvas to make up the ominous background creating a visual representation of a dark stormy sky.
